z Asaduzzaman Noor:

Outstanding dramatist and politician Asaduzzaman Noor was born in 1947 in Jalpaiguri. After the partition of the country, they started living in the Nilphamari district town. His mother Begum Amina Begum retired as the headmaster of Nilphamari Government Girls' School. He earned a reputation by acting in a number of plays on Bangladesh Television and Stage. He was elected a member of Parliament from Nilphamari-2 constituency in the 2001 Jatiya Sangsad election.

 

z Shah Kalender:

Inspired by the spiritual power of Piar and Kamel Shah Kalender (R :) and the great ideology of Islam, many people of this region accepted Islam. The exact date of his birth and death was not known. He is notable among the first-stage Islam preachers in the northern region. The tomb of Hazrat Shah Kaandar (R :) is located in the Domar Upazila of Nilphamari district.

 

Z Nawab Nurul Uddin:

Nawab Nurul Uddin, the great leader of the Peasant Rebellion, created a massive movement against the British rule of Benai and his aides, Devi Singh and other zamindars. Under his leadership, the peasant movement spread all over the Indian subcontinent gradually from the Hath Pargana.

 

z Khairat Hossain:

Born on 14 November 1909 in Barakuthi village under Sonarai union of Nilphamari district. In 1930, he was elected the first Muslim VP of Rangpur Carmichael College. In 1944, he was elected an MLA from Nilphamari region. In 1955, the United Front Cabinet served for two and a half years as the Minister of Food, Fisheries and Animal Husbandry. In 1971, he was suffering from incurable cancer and died in 1972. Khairat Hossain Market, Khayrat Hossain Road and Khayrat Nagar in Nilphamari district carry his memories.

 

z Dabi Uddin Ahmed:

He was born in 1309 in Bidodaburi area of ​​Nilphamari in Bengal. In 1952 he was elected a member of Karabaran Karen and 1954 in East Pakistan Legislative Assembly. He has long been the President of the Bar Association of Nilphamari District.

 

z Moshiur Rahman Magic Mia:

In 1924, Dimla was born at Khamabari in Nilphamari district. While studying at the Calcutta Islamic College, he became involved in politics. He joined the Pakistan National Awami Party in 1957 and in 1954 he was appointed as Chairman of Rangpur District Board. In 1962 and 1965, he was elected twice a member of the Pakistan National Assembly. In 1978, he joined the Nationalist Party of Bangladesh and was appointed the Senior Minister and Railway Division of Bangladesh Government. He died in 1979 while in charge of the minister.

 

z Dr. Zikrul Haque:

He played an important role in the politics of Saidpur in the sixties. At that time he was elected a member of the Pakistan National Assembly as an independent candidate and joined the Awami League. He was the founder member of Syedpur Municipality. In 1971, the Pak army was captured by the army and the Pak army killed him brutally. In his memory, there are various organizations in Syedpur.

 

z Begum Lutfunnesa Abbas:

He was born in 1912 in Domher, Nilphamari district. He is a brother-in-law of freedom fighter Late Abbas Uddin. His walks in Sahityangan noted. Some of her published books include some memories, fewer talk, the last evening sunrise is notable.

 

z Haralal Roy:

He was born in 1923 in the village of Suvarn Khuli of Nilphamari. Besides acting in TV and radio, he also starred in Bengali films. His contribution to Bhavaiyya music is notable.

 

z Mahesh Chandra Roy:

He was born in Kishoreganj in 1925 in Nilphamari. He is known as a musician, musician and vocalist. It is known that he himself composed 3740 songs. His songs are found in the Nilphamari region of the earth and the vibrations of life.

 

z Rathindranath Roy:

Outstanding Rural Artists By distributing Bhaiyya songs in radio, television, stage and cinema, he established Bhavaiya song in the special status of this region. Her father Haralal Roy was the first-time lyricist and composer of Bhawaiya song and prominent educationist.
